Application:
- Mix 2% Sportive Hardener with the lacquer and shake the blend vigorously for 1 minute. Use the mixture immediately or within 5 hours.
- Apply the lacquer with a Bona Applicator Bar or Roller, ensuring a smooth, even application to avoid excess buildup. Maintain a wet edge to prevent overlaps.
- Allow proper drying before applying additional layers, with each subsequent layer requiring slightly longer drying time. Ensure adequate ventilation during the drying process. If needed, perform an intermediate sanding using a screen or Bona Scrad System grit P150 (or finer) to remove any imperfections before applying the final layer of lacquer. Note: If the previous lacquer layer has dried for more than 24 hours, an intermediate sanding is necessary.
Light foot traffic can resume approximately 8 hours after the final application, but the floor should be allowed to dry for 72 hours before full use. Allow the surface to dry for at least 1 week before covering with carpets or heavy objects, and refrain from damp mopping during this period.
